All of our decisions, including those on budget and growth, must look first at what our STUDENTS need most.
Marion County is growing – there is no denying that. So, let’s be responsible with our growth. Let’s balance our budget, plan for future growth, and make decisions with “what’s best for kids” in mind.

We have to focus on recruiting teachers, aides, bus drivers, support staff – those who directly impact your children everyday.
We retain the best through relationships, letting them know they are appreciated and competitive pay.
This is a STUDENT CENTERED approach to planning and budgeting.
